The Canon EF 24mm f1.4L II USM lens is a fast aperture prime lens that replaces the EF 24mm f1.4L USM and has been completely redesigned to provide a more exacting partner lens to the Canon EOS 50D and 5D Mark II digital SLRs. The lens features a 13-element, 10-group lens and two high-precision GMo aspheric lenses for correction of various forms of abberation such as curvature of field and distortion. A floating mechanism ensures crisp corner-to-corner detail through the entire focal range. Additionally, the two UD lenses reduce the chromatic aberration common in wide-angle lenses.
